Messages are never metered by credits — talking is what the product is for, and it is free on every plan. Credits are only for the things that genuinely cost money: voice, live calls and pictures. They never expire, nothing is randomised, and memory is never sold back to you in pieces.
What happens if you stop paying
Nothing is deleted. The account goes read-only: every conversation, every memory and the whole Ledger stay exactly as they are, and you can still read and export all of it. Start a plan again and it picks up where it left off.
Export is free and always available, including on a lapsed account. We are not going to hold your relationship hostage to a renewal.
